Emily Gervasi (she/her) is a 4th year Devised Theatre Student at York University who enjoys all aspects of the acting and creating process. Theatre has been one of her main passions growing up. She has performed in a wide variety of productions such as plays, musicals and student-written pieces continuously. She also has a passion and talent in dance, and has done multiple performances over the years. She includes her love of theatre and dance and implements them within her work in devised theatre, and utilizes them as a way to tell meaningful and thought-provoking stories. She also loves to write and has used her experience in DT to improve. Emily takes an interest in possibly teaching theatre to high schoolers in the future, as she hopes to provide the same impact her drama class have made on her. She is grateful for the opportunity to participate in this year’s DT festival and adores her close friends that she’s gotten to work with in the collective Theatre Company “Wild Card”. Emily is excited for you to see what Wild Card have in store for you, and they can’t wait to show you what tricks they have up their sleeves.
