Liam Lockhart-Rush (he/him) is a theatre artist, performer, and research assistant based in Toronto, Ontario. Liam began his artistic career at Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts, where he studied musical theatre. At Wexford, Liam gained experience as a member of The Wexford Gleeks, performing at various venues, including Theatre Passe Muraille, the Rogers Centre, and the Scotiabank Arena. Liam is currently in his fourth year at York University, completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre and Performance, specializing in Devised Theatre. Select performance credits include Outside The March and The Musical Stage Company’s Dr. Silver: A Celebration of Life (2018, Toronto Theatre Critics Award for Best Ensemble), Angel in Wexford’s Rent (2019), three plays in York’s playGround Festival: performing in Pigeon Play (2020) and Burgertory (2021), and co-creating a devised piece the birdgeoisie (2022). Liam has also gained experience with theatre scholarship and most recently worked as an editorial assistant on the Winter 2023 issue of Canadian Theatre Review and is assisting to organize the Casting Shakespeare in Canada Symposium at York in the spring.
